Mall of Manila
The Westfield Eagle Rock Shopping Center is adding two more popular chains from the Philippines: Chinese fast food spot Chowking and clothing store Bench.
They join recently opened outposts of Jollibee and Goldilocks Bakery, both of which are constantly packed. Chowking's fare consists of dim sum, noodles, and other items -- including an excellent (well, as far as fast food goes) halo-halo, which is a shave ice-based dessert. As for Bench, the clothing outpost could be considered the Gap or Old Navy of the Philippines.
Meanwhile, according to Blogging.la, the new Jollibee on Beverly just west of Vermont -- which we wrote about last July -- is finally about to open.
