Information Superhighway Meets Pot-Holed Dead-End Street

Curbed LA points us to the new site Pave My Street, put together by some frustrated but web-savvy neighbors on Glencoe Way in Hollywood. (As Curbed LA notes, it's pretty surprising that no one had snatched up that URL before now -- considering how many bad roads there are in L.A. and, I'd imagine, around the world).

The site's creators write:

The City of Los Angeles has made promises to pave, and excuses as to why they won't pave our little street, Glencoe Way over the past 10 or so years. We realize that this dead-end street off Camrose, by the Hollywood Bowl is not a high priority -- but the condition of the street continues to deteriorate -- year after year. At some point if the potholes get big enough we might end up with a hole in the ground that meets the Red Line subway tunnel.

Bonus: A goofy illustration of Antonio Villaraigosa and Tom LaBonge, who are invited to visit the pot hole-laden 'hood.
