Sounds Eclectic... And Won't Give You a Nasty Sunburn

Not in the mood to head down to Indio and brave the beating sun all day for Coachella? KCRW has announced the lineup for this year's A Sounds Eclectic Evening (the station's sixth annual edition), and it boasts a pretty good lineup.

Slated to perform: The Shins, Lily Allen, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Cold War Kids and Bitter:Sweet, with more acts to be announced later.

Show takes place Saturday, April 14, at the Gibson Amphitheatre. Start time: 7:45 p.m. Tickets on sale to the General Public starting Tuesday, February 27. (KCRW members get early dibs.)

Writes KCRW:
In an evening known as much for its headline acts as for its surprise guests -- ranging in the past from Franz Ferdinand to Beck -- Music Director Nic Harcourt has conceived a stellar line up for this year’s show. Indie rock gods The Shins, UK sensation Lily Allen, world music dynamos Rodrigo y Gabriela, electronica globetrotters the Pinker Tones and the newest and hottest local bands sweeping the national music scene, Cold War Kids and Bitter: Sweet, have all signed on to play.
