Abraham Lincoln, Special to the Times

Got a kick out of this: Abraham Lincoln pens a special column for the Los Angeles Times' website: Some opinion piece he calls "The Gettysburg Address."

The date? November 19, 1863, which makes it the oldest story on the LA Times site -- not to mention places it almost two decades before the newspaper was founded.

It's a placeholder, of course, probably for use as a template. Franklin Avenue reader Raven randomly discovered it while navigating the paper's website, and sent us a screengrab. He writes:

Not sure if this is of interest to you, but I came across the LA Times' fun twist on Lorem Ipsum placeholders this morning while looking for an article on the downtown protests. I've attached a screenshot of the featured article, apparently a "Special to The Times" by Mr. Abraham Lincoln.

Does this make Lincoln eligible for a Pulitzer?
