A new Sephora store appeared virtually overnight at the corner of 6th and Spring (above). A further sign of major corporations' willingness to take a chance on Downtown?
Not quite. Sorry, downtowners, it's a cruel joke. A Paramount movie is shooting there, Blogdowntown reports, and its just a setting.
Meanwhile, the L.A. Times explores the growing battle between downtown movie shoots -- which once operated in what was essentially a nighttime/weekend ghost town -- and the growing population that is increasingly vocal about it.
