In November 1987, a mysterious pirate dressed in a Max Headroom mask managed to hijack the signals of Chicago stations WGN and WTTW. The WGN jam was quickly overridden, but on PBS station WTTW, the pirate managed to cut out of "Doctor Who" for more than a minute.
