When Don Draper and Pete Campbell drop off Edwin Baker, senior VP of Public Relations for Jaguar, after a night of debauchery, in real life they're outside the Oviatt Building (and Cicada restaurant) in downtown Los Angeles.
The Oviatt and Cicada are actually a popular spot for the "Mad Men" location scouts. Here's a pic of Don and Roger Sterling from last season, when an episode was shot inside:

I've wondered for a long time: Did Billy Wilder's "Double Indemnity" use the Oviatt Building to depict the "Pacific All Risk Insurance" offices? Was it another building, or merely a set created from scratch? Wilder's LA settings here and in "Sunset Blvd." were scrupulously accurate, and the Dietrichson house interiors were exact replicas of the real house on Quebec Dr. (I've been inside the house you see in the film).
I knew that site the minute I saw the cab in front of it while watching that episode. That entire building is well worth a visit and you can often see the penthouse on LA Conservany's Art Deco tour.
