R.I.P., Aron's Records

After several months of selling off its inventory, Aron's Records has finally shut its doors -- well, almost. The empty store is now in the process of selling off fixtures, signs and -- most interestingly -- those giant-sized replicas of album covers that hung in the window. But get there soon -- I don't think they're going to last much longer.

Aron's began selling off its CD, album and DVD inventory back in November -- and the remaining stuff was sold out last Saturday. In the end, merchandise was being let go for 80% to 90% below original price.

I didn't get a chance to head to the store last weekend, but was planning to go today -- when I got the sad news that everything was gone.

Previously on Franklin Avenue:
Rhi-No More (January 2006)

Another One Bites the Dust? (December 2005)

Broken Record Store (November 2005)
