Fading Signs of Western
As I've illustrated before, for some reason Western is the best avenue around to spy old, faded ads on the sides of buildings that for some reason haven't been painted over.
Here's one for a long-gone business: "Hoffman's Cash Grocery & Market." But I especially love the ad for M-J-B Coffee. What does the "Why?" mean? Why, indeed.
Here's more, slightly covered: the Ever Ready Drug Co., which promises "Prompt Motor Deliveries on Phone Orders."
Signs spotted at Western and 2nd.
